Evaluation method
Diffuser stone test
Foam-breaking experiment: Measure 30 mL of the test solution in a 100mL graduated cylinder and aerate nitrogen in the liquid. When the foam reaches 100 mL, add the defoamer and measure the height of the foam as time elapses.
Foam-suppressing experiment: Measure 30 mL of the test solution in a 100mL graduated cylinder. After adding the defoamer, aerate nitrogen in the liquid and measure the height of the foam as time elapses.
Examples of use
Usage
・NOPTAM 3000S separates over time. Mix well before usage.
・Add NOPTAM 3000S to the undiluted solution or after water dilusion.
・The standard amounts of NOPTAM 3000S added are as follows: 0.005~0.2% by weight for latex (0.1~0.5% by weight for emulsion, 0.2~1.0% by weight for aqueous coatings, 0.1~0.3% by weight for water soluble resins)
・When using as a water diluting liquid, gradually add NOPTAM 3000S to water while stirring constantly (agitate using a stirrer or a paddle-type mixing impeller) and adjust the concentration to 1~30% by weight. Dilute only the necessary quantity before usage. As the diluted solution will begin to separate at around 1~3h if left unagitated, use while lightly mixing until homogeneous.
